The project
A devotional philosophy in thirty-three names
The Arcanum is a compact devotional philosophy built around thirty-three names for a singular, formless Divine Source. Each chapter approaches one name through lyrical teaching, metaphysical reflection, practical ethics, and direct address to the reader.
Across the complete book, divine immanence, the soul’s origin and return, free will, responsibility, dignity, justice, mercy, stewardship, and care for the earth become one recurring worldview. Its closing Invocation of the Divine Names turns that conceptual architecture into a repeatable practice using prayer beads, breath, recitation, and silence.
Rather than cataloguing its influences, the book resolves them into one vocabulary of Source, soul, freedom, responsibility, remembrance, and return.

My contribution
What I authored and designed
- Developed the thirty-three Divine Names as both a symbolic taxonomy and the book’s structural framework.
- Built a coherent theology around a formless Source understood as beyond creation and present within it.
- Defined an arc of origin, individuality, forgetfulness, choice, consequence, remembrance, transformation, and return.
- Connected metaphysical claims to practical ethics concerning truth, mercy, dignity, freedom, justice, stewardship, and care for the earth.
- Wrote the lyrical teachings, exhortations, meditations, and recurring symbolic language.
- Designed the bead-and-breath invocation that translates the book’s ideas into embodied daily practice.
- Synthesized cross-traditional influences into a distinct devotional identity rather than a catalogue of references.

Design logic
From Divine Name to daily practice
The thirty-three-part structure is not an ornamental table of contents. It moves from names to teachings, from teachings to a consistent cosmology and ethic, and from that worldview into practice.
One recurring cosmology
The Source, soul, freedom, suffering, remembrance, transformation, and return recur without requiring every chapter to repeat the same argument.
Metaphysics into ethics
Unity and immanence produce consequences for dignity, non-harm, generosity, governance, material care, and ecological stewardship.
Belief into practice
One bead, one name, one breath makes symbol, memory, attention, and bodily action reinforce one another.
