The project
A sixty-four-card correspondence system
The Pagan Deck is a sixty-four-card print-and-play built as a correspondence system, not a prescribed divination method. Its fifty-eight-card core links four seasonal families with Wheel festivals, directions, zodiac signs, and the Sun and Moon; six optional Sacred Mysteries add an archetypal layer.
Recurring badges make those correspondences visible, while a shared frame, parchment titles, and celestial card back turn many kinds of imagery into one physical object.

My contribution
What I designed and produced
- Conceived the deck and defined the categories carried by its sixty-four cards.
- Resolved the mathematical fifty-eight-card core and separated six Sacred Mysteries as a removable optional layer.
- Selected seasonal, elemental, festival, directional, zodiacal, celestial, and archetypal correspondences.
- Designed recurring badges that make cross-category relationships visible, especially on the zodiac cards.
- Directed generative image development, including iteration, selection, rejection, and alignment with intended symbolism.
- Refined and composited assets, integrated iconography and typography, and constructed the shared card frame and back.
- Assembled eight-up Letter-size sheets, matching reverse sheets, trim guidance, scale instructions, and short-edge duplex production.

Design logic
How the sixty-four cards fit together
The deck is modular by design. The complete printable artifact includes all sixty-four cards, while the six Sacred Mysteries can be included or removed without breaking the core correspondence system.
26 cyclical anchors
Eight Wheel festivals, four directions, twelve zodiac signs, and the Sun and Moon connect calendar, orientation, astrology, and celestial rhythm.
58-card core
The full correspondence architecture is complete without requiring any optional archetypal cards.
6 Sacred Mysteries
The World Tree, Stag, Raven, Standing Stone, Cauldron, and Crystal deepen the symbolic atmosphere as a removable layer.
